ܦܘܠܘܣ ܘܣܠܘܢܘܣ ܘܛܝܡܬܐܣ ܠܥܕܬܐ ܕܬܣܠܘܢܝܩܝܐ ܕܒܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܐ ܘܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܘܫܠܡܐ

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

ܡܘܕܝܢܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܥܠ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܘܡܬܕܟܪܝܢܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܨܠܘܬܢ ܐܡܝܢܐܝܬ
'myn'yth btslwthn lkwn wmthdkrynn klkwn el bklzbn l'lh' mwdynn
We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,

ܘܥܗܕܝܢܢ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܐ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܘܥܡܠܐ ܕܚܘܒܟܘܢ ܘܡܣܝܒܪܢܘܬܐ ܕܣܒܪܟܘܢ ܕܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' yshwe dbmrn dsbrkwn wmsybrnwth' dkhwbkwn weml' dhymnwthkwn ebd' 'b' 'lh' qdm wehdynn
remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.

ܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܓܒܝܘܬܟܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܚܒܝܒܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ

We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,

ܡܛܠ ܕܡܣܒܪܢܘܬܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܡܠܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܗܘܬ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܒܚܝܠܐ ܘܒܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܘܒܦܝܣܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܒܝܢܬܟܘܢ ܡܛܠܬܟܘܢ
mTlthkwn bynthkwn hwyn 'ykn' 'nthwn ydeyn 'nthwn 'p shryr' wbpys' dqwdsh' wbrwkh' bkhyl' 'p 'l' lwthkwn hwth blkhwd bml' hw' l' dmsbrnwthn mTl
and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܢ ܐܬܕܡܝܬܘܢ ܘܒܡܪܢ ܕܩܒܠܬܘܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܒܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܒܚܕܘܬܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ
dqwdsh' drwkh' wbkhdwth' rb' b'wltsn' mlth' dqblthwn wbmrn 'thdmythwn bn w'nthwn
You became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

ܘܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ ܘܒܐܟܐܝܐ
wb'k'y' bmqdwny' d'yth mhymn' lklhwn dmwth' whwythwn
so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

ܡܢܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܫܬܡܥܬ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܠܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܒܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ ܘܒܐܟܐܝܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܟܠ ܐܬܪ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܟܘܢ ܕܒܐܠܗܐ ܐܫܬܡܥܬ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܣܬܢܩ ܕܢܐܡܪ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܡܕܡ
mdm elykwn dn'mr nsthnq dl' 'ykn' 'shthmeth db'lh' hymnwthkwn 'thr bkl 'l' wb'k'y' bmqdwny' blkhwd l' dmrn mlthh 'shthmeth gyr mnkwn
For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out; so that we need not to say anything.

ܗܢܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܫܬܥܝܢ ܐܝܢܐ ܡܥܠܢܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܬܦܢܝܬܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܢ ܕܚܠܬ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܕܬܦܠܚܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܚܝܐ ܘܫܪܝܪܐ
wshryr' khy' l'lh' dthplkhwn pthkr' dkhlth mn 'lh' lwth 'thpnythwn w'ykn' lwthkwn ln hw' meln' 'yn' mshtheyn gyr hnwn
For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you; and how you turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God,
